Cross Country
Cross Country runs parallel to life. Each day is a new with such great hope. You are in control of your destiny. All that is asked is that you do your best every moment and every step you are given. Regardless of how fast or slow you are you just need to put one foot in front of the other. There are hills that need to be climbed, but once a top the peak the pain goes away and joy flows in.
Cross Country tests your limits. It doesn’t matter how fast others are, but how much time and effort you have put in to become your best.
Cross Country is all inclusive. There are no cuts, just one rule and that is you give your all every day. The top seven runners compete at the Varsity level with everyone else running Junior Varsity. The stop watch never lies. Whoever is the 7 fastest will compete on Varsity. Each week the top seven could change depending on you. Meets are held in parks and golf courses. Girls run 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) and the boys run 5 kilometers (3.12 miles).

Announcements
Thank You
Words cannot express the gratitude my wife and I have for each and everyone connected to cross country at Millard South.  Your act of Kindness with all the wonderful gifts and even the thought of throwing us a baby shower was far greater than ever imagined.

Thank you for entrusting your sons and daughters to the coaching staff.  This year was truly special.  We grew into a family this year.  Each member of the team contributed so very much to our success there is not enough time or space to thank all of them properly.

My hope for next year is that we continue to work hard each day we are given, we work hard together for a common goal, and that we remember who we are-MILLARD SOUTH.  For races will drift from our memories, but the frienships and bonds we build will never be forgotten.
